TTN Justice Products – Hand made Tais Greeting cards from the women of Railaco.
These cards have been uniquely handmade by the inspiring women who are part of the Railaco Kraic Art and Craft Cooperative, which is located in a mall village high in the hills of Timor Leste.
This Art and Craft Cooperative was established in 2007 and is managed by CER i.e. Communade Edmund Rice (a ministry of Christian Brothers in Timor Leste) and the TTN (Terrace Timor Network).
Our goals are to teach them new skills that will enable them to trade their handcrafts for a fair and just return while creating sustainable employment opportunities.
These cards feature Tais weaving as part of their design, which is the indigenous weaving of Timor Leste. It has been uniquely combined with other contemporary design elements to create an original range of Greeting and Gift cards suitable for all occasions.
By purchasing these handmade cards, you are supporting these women in a very practical way as they strive to lead their way out of poverty and into a life of personal and financial independence. Both we and the women of this Cooperative say a sincere thank you for your support and for the gift of hope it brings. |
